
Dr. Jean-Guillaume Grand is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon who certified from the European College of Veterinary Surgery (ECVS) in 2012.
He obtained the title of Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Liège (Belgium) in 2004, where he also completed his residency. After two years as a surgical assistant at the National Veterinary School of Nantes (France), he completed a three-year surgical residency and obtained the title of European Specialist in Surgery (DECVS), the highest level of expertise in the field. He then joined the University College of Dublin (Ireland) as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and was subsequently recruited to lead an orthopaedic surgery department in the United Kingdom within Veterinary Specialist UK. In 2015, he joined the Aquivet Veterinary Hospital (France), leaving in 2024. In 2025, he founded a new referral practice dedicated solely to veterinary orthopaedics, which he practices as an independent veterinary specialist.
Dr Jean-Guillaume Grand has a particular interest in traumatology, minimally invasive surgery, and 3D printing-assisted correction of angular limb deformities. He is involved as an instructor in several national and international orthopedic surgery training programs. Since 2026, he has been an elected member of the AO VET European Board, where he contributes to the development of education, training, and strategic initiatives in veterinary orthopedic surgery.
